Hardwire Installation
If you plan to use a wall dimmer switch, you need to do the hardwire installation with a dimmable transformer, instead of the included power supply which plugs into a wall outlet, due to the voltage difference between the wall dimmer switch (110V) and LED light panel (24V). The inline dimmer switch (24V) is incompatible with a dimmable transformer.

If not used with a wall dimmer switch, a plug-in power supply (except a wall mount power supply) can be used to do the hardwire installation, but if a dimmer switch is needed, a 24V dimmer switch is required. You would need to splice the power plug from the power cord and connect it to the power source with a junction box or something similar. The wall dimmer switch (110V) is incompatible with the plug-in power supply.

Power Supply Start-Up time
Depends on the wattage of the power supply, the start-up time may differ.  Please use matched wattage of power supplies for the best result.

Still works great after 5 years!

Installed in 2016 still works great in 2021. Lovely warm glow but doesn’t get hot. Dims easily. Many compliments. Hint: I put a dot on the cabinet with a Sharpie so my fingers don’t have to fumble for the switch.

Great under-cabinet lights - reliable quality

I've tried several cheap brands, and I keep coming back to LightKiwi when I want a reliable quality light. They're expensive compared to the cheap China knock-offs, but you get what you pay for with these.

Easy Install, Great Customer Service

First, let me say I was very impressed with the fast reply from the LightKiwi customer service folks. They responded twice within the hour of my email comment submission with clear and concise direction. I purchased the lightKiwi 3 light package. Each light panel and system components were wrapped securely and packaged tightly to ensure no breakage during shipment. I highly suggest that if you purchase consider reading the reviews and watch the informative YouTube installations prior to mapping out your install to find what works and what doesn’t in accordance to your layout configuration. After mapping out my install- I found that most reviews concerning the cheap screws were spot on. I chose the 3M double-sided tape route to affix the light panels to the top of the undercabs, and all wires were hidden. My only suggestion is that LightKiwi consider a typical sequence diagram for layout. Most important; my wife loves the glow of the warm lights on our stone countertops. Overall, it was an easy install, and I received outstanding customer service! Thank you LIghtKiwi!
